Solar Floral reimagines the shaded beach not as an accumulation of discrete mass-produced objects, but rather as a mass-customized architectural landscape. Developed as a concept for a private beach, the seasonal installation is a continuous field of interconnected blossom-shaped components constructed from hi-tech textiles stretched over CNC-bent armatures. The resulting canopy provides beach-goers with a range of options for lounging, sunbathing, and staying out of the sun.
